MTB, MCEF sign MoU to boost construction sector

13 February 2025

Myanmar Tourism Bank (MTB) and the Myanmar Construction Entrepreneurs Federation (MCEF) have entered into a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to support the growth and success of MCEF members through collaborative initiatives, according to MTB.

Through this partnership, MCEF members will gain access to financing facilities and lending services provided by MTB. These services are designed to support business development, focusing on the construction of quality infrastructure, factories, and housing projects across Myanmar.

By fostering connections with domestic and international construction firms, industry experts, material suppliers, and dealers, this collaboration aims to boost the sector’s global competitiveness. Additionally, it is expected to create new job opportunities, strengthen links among MCEF’s regional and state members, and contribute to the country’s development goals.

The MoU was officially signed on 7 February at MCEF’s Head Office in Thingangyun Township, Yangon Region. The MoU was signed by MTB Vice Chairman U Thein Han and MCEF Chairman U Shein Win.

Daw Theingi Lin and U Win Lwin, Executive Director and CEO of MTB, alongside Dr Nyan Thit Hlaing and U Ko Ko Lay, Vice Chairman and Secretary General of MCEF, served as witnesses.
